Chicago Bulls (32-46) at Dallas Mavericks (TBD) | American Airlines Center | 7:30 PM CT
The Chicago Bulls travel to Dallas to face the Mavericks at American Airlines Center tonight, and this is going to be brutal. We’re 32–46 and fourteen games under .500 with our season long over. The Mavericks are a playoff team with Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving.
This is a road game against elite talent where we’re just hoping to not get embarrassed on national television.
Bulls Season Snapshot: 32-46 and Done
Record: 32-46 (11th in Eastern Conference)
Our season has been over for weeks. We’re fourteen games under .500 with terrible defense (allowing 120+ points per game) and inconsistent offense. DeMar DeRozan still gets his mid-range buckets, but it’s not enough.
Key Bulls Players:
- DeMar DeRozan: Our offensive anchor, needs 40+ on the road
- Anfernee Simons: Perimeter shooting that’s been inconsistent all season
- Collin Sexton: Energy off the bench
The defense is catastrophic. The rebounding is awful. Against the Mavericks’ elite offense on the road, this could get ugly.
Dallas Mavericks: Playoff Team with Superstar Talent
The Mavericks are a legit playoff contender with two of the best offensive players in the league.
Mavericks Stars:
- Luka Dončić: Generational talent who controls games
- Kyrie Irving: Elite scorer with incredible handles
- Supporting Cast: Deep roster built for playoffs
They score efficiently, play solid defense, and are one of the best teams in the Western Conference. We’re on the road. They’re playoff-bound. The talent gap is massive.
Key Matchups to Watch
DeMar DeRozan vs Luka Dončić
Our veteran scorer vs their generational superstar. Luka is on another level, but DeMar will try to keep us competitive with his mid-range game.
Bulls Defense vs Luka/Kyrie Pick-and-Roll
Our terrible defense (120.3 points allowed) vs the Mavericks’ elite offensive duo. They’re going to pick us apart.
Rebounding Battle
We’re bad on the boards (42.6 per game). Dallas will dominate the glass and get second-chance points.
What the Bulls Need (Good Luck)
DeMar DeRozan Drops 45+
Only way we stay competitive is if DeMar has an absolutely monster game on the road in Dallas.
Hit Threes at an Absurd Rate
Simons and our shooters need to catch fire. If we go cold from three, we’re getting blown out by 30.
Somehow Slow Down Luka and Kyrie
With our defense? Not happening. But we have to try.
Don’t Get Humiliated
They’re a playoff team at home. We’re the 11th seed. Compete for 48 minutes and avoid total embarrassment.
Bulls Fan Prediction: We Get Handled
Final Score: Mavericks 124, Bulls 108
DeMar DeRozan battles and drops 38 points on the road. Anfernee Simons adds 22. We hang around for one quarter.
But Luka Dončić absolutely dominates with 35 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds. Kyrie Irving adds 28 with his handles and finishing. The Mavericks’ offense is too much for our terrible defense.
Sixteen-point loss feels generous. The talent gap is massive.
Why This Game Matters (Even Though We’re Losing)
We’re 32-46. The season’s over. So why does tonight matter?
Because the Mavericks represent playoff basketball. Elite talent. Championship aspirations. DeMar DeRozan deserves to compete against the best even if we’re going to lose.
And maybe—just maybe—we can at least avoid total humiliation on the road in Dallas.
Realistically? We’re getting beaten by a way better team. But it’s basketball.
See Red. Let´s go Bulls!!!
