Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill banning the video gambling machines and with that the City of Miami started destroying the machines.
A press conference was held by Miami Police Chief Manuel Orosa and Mayor Tomas Regalado at the City’s Department of Solid Waste, 1290 N.W. 20th Street. Miami Police Chief Manuel Orosa discussed the topic of gaming machines, commonly referred to as “maquinitas” and the cities position on enforcement in the City of Miami and methods utilized to collect and destroy them.
