MCB School Master Class Series in 3 Miami-Dade Magnet Schools

miamiballet WHAT: Miami City Ballet School is proud to announce the fall session of its newest community outreach and education initiative – the MCB School Master Class Series, serving approximately 100 students ages 11-18 from three Miami-Dade Magnet Schools: Hialeah High School, Zelda Glazer Elementary and Arthur & Polly Mays Conservatory. Former Miami City Ballet dancer and Miami City Ballet School faculty member Kris Kramer will lead the initiative which consists of one 2-hour presentation, two 2-hour master classes, and the chance to see Miami City Ballet’s matinee performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Adrienne Arsht Center on Sunday, October 19. The program is set to repeat in spring 2015. The MCB School Master Class Series began earlier in 2014 and is expected to continue through 2016.

The MCB School Master Class Series will provide students with lectures, demonstrations, and guided movement in preparation of the live theater experience. The program further extends Miami City Ballet’s overarching goal of broadening the reach of both the Company and the School within the many communities it serves.
