Camp is held at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, located at 300 Gulf Stream Way in Dania Beach, Florida. The Camper/Counselor ratio is usually 1:8, and never more than 1:10. All of the counselors are CPR and First Aid Certified, and most have either obtained or are working towards a degree in marine biology or a related field.
During every session campers will spend time in the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum, where they learn about fishing techniques, conservation, marine biology, tying flies and jigs, and participate in simulated fishing tournaments. Field trips take the campers on a variety of fresh and salt water adventures, including drift boat, pier and shore fishing, encounters with alligators, and much more. Every participant will also receive a T-shirt and a free rod and reel combo compliments of Fish Florida.
