Host Rachel Leigh was on the scene for the 3rd Annual Bartender Battle at Farmer’s Table. It was a tremendous success and raised over $40,000 for the Unicorn Children’s Foundation, which raises awareness and support of Neurodiversity. Neurodiversity refers to children who think, learn and communicate differently due to developmental challenges like Autism, Dyslexia and other learning disorders. Congratulations to celebrity bartenders Sarah Hassan and Bill Kruegel who enjoyed winning 3 years in row!
The team totals were:
Sarah & Bill $24,794
Greg and Marcie $4,544
Julissa & Kendra $3,500
Felette & Heather $2,641
This event was a competition amongst 4 local celebrity teams to see who can raise the most “votes” (dollars) in support of the cause. Felette Thompson-Branch (Gucci) and Heather Shaw (Saks Fifth Avenue), Gregory Fried (Gregory’s Fine Jewelry) and Marci Butters (Butters Group), and Kendra Erika Bond (Singer/Songwriter) and Julissa Caballero (Toshiba Business Solutions) will try to defeat reigning champions William Kruegel (Sunshine Health) and Sarah Hassan (IM HealthScience) for the title and much coveted trophy.
There was amazing décor and each bar was uniquely themed by its bartenders, to include: a Glamorous Garden, Warriors for Neurodiversity, a Sports Bar, and James Bond 007. There was fierce competition, friendly bantering, and shameless bribing for votes. There was delicious food, chances to win amazing items, great drinks including a unique cocktail and great opportunities to mingle with a cross-section of South Florida’s community leaders, business professionals, and philanthropists. But more importantly, this was an opportunity to support a great cause and have fun while doing it. 100% of proceeds directly support and impact special needs youth and their families.
Other community sponsors include: Sunshine Health, IRememberBox, Simply The Best Magazine, and Eye On South Florida.
