By Terri Lynn, for EyesOnNews (May 23, 2013) – When a girl like me gets an opportunity to attend an early morning sound check to hear the Rascals, the uber popular rock group from the 60’/70’s you know it’s going to be A Beautiful Morning.

The Rascals are back and are launching their national tour filled with “Good Lovin'” at Hard Rock Live, May 24-26.

The band took a little nap for 40 years and now they are “Groovin'” with The Rascals: Once Upon a Dream, highlighting 30 hits against a back drop of memories. The show was produced and directed by Steven Van Zandt and lighting/projection genius, Marc Brickman.

Eyes On News spoke to all of the band members, Eddie, Felix, Gene and Dino. All of them were charming, honest, candid and open to all of our questions. They shared their memories from the 60’s, how they got their name and how it feels when they are on stage.

When I told Felix that the very first TV show I ever went to was when the Rascals were on Hullaballoo in Brooklyn, NY, his eyes lit up. Turns out it was their very first national TV show and he remembered it vividly.

We also had an opportunity to talk with Marc Brickman about the show’s recent successful Broadway run and the excitement in store for audiences. Brickman even shared with us, exclusively, a two minute video he created about the band and the show. (watch here)
