Scrooge Simple Syrup
2 cups light brown sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
1 vanilla pod
1 orange peel
2 anise stars
1/2 tablespoon all spice
1/2 tablespoon nutmeg
1/4 tablespoon sea salt
