Proper Affair-The Old School Square Field house in Delray Beach was the backdrop to this years shining event for the Achievement Centers of America. The 9th annual event hosted by Boston Proper, a girl power company, raised over $40,000 for the Achievement Centers for Children and Families which supports underprivileged children and low-income families in the local community. Yours truly was the Emcee for the evening and what an experience it was! Highlighting events in our community and shining a light on charities that are impacting our area is what I do best and I was honored to be apart of the Proper Affair. Working alongside with the entire team including DJ Bumi Benjamin, Boston Proper, Designers, Models, and Influencers of the area the Proper Affair event was a sold out night in Delray Beach, FL. The Proper Affair started out with a great vibe in the historic Old School Square. An intimate yet classy feel was the setting with fun music choices that kept everyone moving, complimentary cocktails and hors oeuvres, special performances by the ACCT drum line and dance troupe, fun live action and a sneak peak of the 2017 Summer Fashions from Boston Proper. Saltwater Brewery hosted a craft beer garden as well the the after party wrap up of the Proper Affair.

Over 30 women some models and influencers but mostly real women from our community donating their time and strengths to make a night like this possible. “It’s exciting to be a working woman who supports an event like this, it make a community grow”, says ICandy Productions owner Candice Rojas. Other notables who walked the runway Mee-Ladie Delgado who holds title of Ms. United States,”It is so great to be apart of a night where you know your time equals dollars for children and their families”, says Delgago. Everyone had a great experience from fittings to the final on stage call the women were all pros and worked as a team to make the Proper Affair 2017 a success for all!

The silent auction that brought in local companies such as Seagate Hotel and Spa, Chelsea Erwin Photography Packages, an in home or office catered and hosted by Chef Gianni from A Touch of Spain. Most Notable a 12 night European cruise package for 2 from Celebrity Cruises. The Proper Affair is in it’s 9th year and growing with sold out crowds this year and interest growing steadily. CEO of Boston Proper Sheryll Clark. “This event is about members of our community getting together to give back and to be focused on growing our community.” She goes on to say, “I am blow away by Stephanie and her team every year at what they do with the money raised here tonight, the dollars go directly back to the foundation.” When I asked Sheryll where do we go from here she answered, ” We’re going to need a bigger Venue next year!!”
