DJ Tess, known for her vibrant energy on stage mixing old school into contemporary music, will create the ultimate dance party between bites.
Mi Tocaya Antojería was founded in 2017 by Chef Diana Dávila serving traditional Mexican dishes as well as lesser-known regional specialties. Mi Tocaya, or “my namesake” in Spanish, is commonly used as a term of endearment when someone has the same name as oneself. Since opening, Chef Dávila has become a leading authority in the industry as she reshapes the identity of Mexican cuisine. Mi Tocaya’s “Taquiza” is the Logan Square restaurant’s second annual birthday celebration bringing together chefs from the local Chicago community.
Through food & drink, guests are invited to share in Dávila’s cherished memories of her summers and extensive travels throughout Mexico with her family. The thoughtfully composed menu features a progression of small, medium, and large plates showcasing Dávila’s takes on familiar Mexican favorites, lesser-known regional specialties, and completely new dishes that are inspired by her Mexican heritage.
Tickets for Mi Tocaya’s Taquiza are $175 and include tacos, beverages, and tax and gratuity. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Chicago Abortion Fund. Tickets are now on sale and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets here via RESY in advance as space is limited.
