When the 75-year old founder of Prestige Club heard that there were mothers with cancer forgoing treatment because they had no way to care for their children while being treated, she was determined to fill that need. Partnering with A Place Called Hope, the building and staff are in place but the facility needs renovations. Neither Hope Church nor Prestige Club have the funds to pay for them. After many attempts to raise the money, Polly decided to take matters into her own hands. She has planned to camp out on the grounds of the facility and encourage people to donate. She will stay there day and night until she has raised the funds needed.
The daycare center will be called Pollyanna’s in honor of Mrs. Wilkie. It is located on the grounds of A Place Called Hope – 3751 NW 94 Avenue, Cooper City.
