sunfestPalm Beach, FL– Sunfest takes place in downtown West Palm Beach along Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway. Sunfest is a musical and art festival held annually I the first week of May. Sunfest is the largest waterfront music and arts festival and attracts over 175,000 people to the downtown area. Locals and visitors to the area are treated to over 50 bands over a day span. The line up was deep this year and the weather a perfect 10. On opening night fans were treated to legendary rockers Duran Duran and newcomer and crowd favorite Meghan Trainor. Train, Jason Derulo, Steve Aoki, G-Eazy, Slightly Stoopid, O.A.R, Flogging Molly, Salt N PePa (Featuring Spinderella), Lukas Graham, The Roots, Half Deezy, and so many more graced 3 stages over 5 beautiful South Florida days.

A hot spot for families is the mini-sunfest kid-sized fun consisting of face painting, bounce houses, and sand play. The Eatery is all new to Sunfest and was organized by the team involved with the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival.
The Sunfest festival closed the weekend with the spectacular fireworks show over the intra coastal water way. This display is one of the most talked about events of the festival. The music provided by Gater 98.7 is the perfect ending to this summer music festival.
Sunfest is a well organized event put on every year by a non-profit organization. It rallies the community and stimulates the economy. The sense you get when you walk the festival is a mixture of Young and old views on musical acts. New fans of older music as well as older fans to all the hip new music inspires all to come together and celebrate for 5 fun filled days that have come to be known as Sunfest.
